Yesterday, I spent several hours learning how to paint with watercolors from Art About Town. I am not artsy, so the fact that they could get this kind of work out of me was pretty amazing. It was nice and relaxing, and taught by two retired high school art teachers, so they were used to students who had no idea what they are doing. I may just decide to do this again.

Had a great lunch today at Asian Kitchen on Olive. I had Dolsot Bibimbap, which is rice, veggies, beef, and other stuff with an egg on top, in a hot bowl. You mix the egg in and it cooks. Then, they give you all of these great side dishes like lotus root, radish, kimchi, fish, mushrooms, and lots (and I do mean lots) more. You can mix this with your bibimbap, or eat separately. Excellent!

Yellow Farmhouse Winery

Sometimes, we drive by somewhere a million times before stopping and when we do, we are really sorry we've never stopped before. This was the case with the Yellow Farmhouse Winery.

Their wines are dryer than most wineries, and their Traminette is incredible even though I do love a sweet Traminette. We ended up having a bottle of the Vignoles, which was just about perfect.

They have a new pavillion, complete with gas fireplace. The hill is dotted with colorful Adirondack chairs, and they have a porch/stage for live acts. Located right at the intersection of two biker bars and the Katy Trail, it's perfectly situated for an afternoon of wine drinking and people watching.
